Intro

Kia Orana! My name is Hunter. I am year 9 at Waitara High, I am 14 years old, My ethnicity is Maori,Cook Islander and Pakeha. I am the youngest of 4 with 2 sisters and one brother.

This year I’m hoping to improve my Te Reo Maori and also keep my attendance above 85%. My favourite subjects in school are P.E and Sports leadership. I enjoy playing sport and play quite a few such as Touch, Netball,Waka ama, Ki O Rahi and Rippa. My favourites would have to be touch, waka ama and Ki O Rahi. I've played touch for as long as I can remember and have made a few rep teams. I started waka ama this year and with 3 weeks of practice went away to secondary schools nats, which we ended up in the finals not bad for a bunch of first timers I'd say. I was lucky enough to be a part of our school Ki O Rahi team that went to the TSSSA tournament which was very fun and a good experience.

This year I am looking forward to trying out new sport and the holidays
